Can i use my Toshiba recovery disk if im running vista oem which i installed myself?

Sorry, i really don't know much about this stuff and would appreciate some help!
I had a virus on my laptop last year, so i bought vista and installed it. (i didn't have the recovery disk with me at the time).
Anyway, im having problems again, and i was wondering whether i could use the recovery disk that came with my laptop this time to reinstall vista? ...the copy of vista i bought seems to have gone AWOL! Nightmare!

What windows came installed on your laptop if Xp then the restore disk is going to reinstall xp and not vista but yes it will restore your computer back to teh way it was when u powered it on for the first time. if you want vista ull have to reinstal it over xp once you get it back up and running.

i advise to stick with XP for now anyway Vista is a nightmare by itself. hence the reason why Microsoft is trashing it so early. the new Windows, Windows 7 will me mainstream soon id wait and invest into that when it becomes mainstream until then take that vista back and get your money back and stick with XP
